Able Image Browser Editor's Review

'Able Image Browser' is a simple image browser with basic functions. In reality, it is more like a Windows shell, which has a picture previewing section with a few image-editing effects enclosed.

The program is very simple and the interface resembles 'Windows Explorer' a lot. The pictures are displayed in thumbnail mode, thus the program reacts slowly when you browse your folders.

The program allows you to rotate, resize, flip, crop, adjust colors, etc. You can zoom in or zoom out using a predefined or a custom zoom rate. A red eye reduction tool is included. You can copy images to clipboard, print them out, or send them by email.

Pluses:

Drawbacks / flaws: The program has no option for viewing files in full screen mode. You can't convert images to other formats and you can't batch edit pictures. There are some more drawbacks, but I'll just stop here.

In conclusion: When I looked at the price, I couldn't see any reason for someone to buy a software like this, when you can download and install Picasa 2 free.
